The duo revealed they would be joining the Channel 4 soap earlier this year.
AJ, who left Strictly in 2020 in a bid to pursue new opportunities, will play dancer Marco, and will arrive on the soap as a rival of Trish Miniver (Denise Welch).
Meanwhile, his brother Curtis, also a dancer, will play Marco’s twin on the soap.
AJ, who is now dipping his toes into acting, has had a successful career as a dancer – which has earned him an impressive wealth.
Here we take a closer look at the dancer’s net worth.
AJ Pritchard’s net worth
Alex Joseph “AJ” Pritchard is worth an estimated £450,000, according to reports.
Ahead of appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2020 his net worth was reported at £400,000, but he reportedly earned a further £50,000 for taking part.
AJ finished sixth on the show, which saw Giovanna Fletcher crowned as the winner.
He will also no doubt add a substantial amount to his net worth fort the acting job with Hollyoaks.
AJ began dancing competitively at the age of 13 and attended Pritchard’s Dance Academy, where his parents partnered him with Chloe Hewitt.
However, most of his earnings so far will have come from Strictly Come Dancing.
According to the Daily Mail, all the dancers earn a flat fee of £35,000, but they have a chance to top up their earnings.
This includes money from TV appearances, The Strictly Live Tour and Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals tour.
According to Heart, he would earn a further £70,000 for the Strictly Live Tour, and a further £35,000 for Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals Tour.
Although AJ was doing well for himself on Strictly, he left the show in 2020 to pursue a presenting career with his brother and ex-Love Island contestant Curtis.
AJ and his brother also have a tour coming up in 2021 called AJ & Curtis’ Big Night Out, which is a live entertainment show.
The Pritchard brothers have also recently launched their own podcast called AJ vs Curtis.
AJ also appeared on Celebrity MasterChef, which he would have picked up a considerable fee for.
Meanwhile, the dancer embarked on his second dance tour called AJ Live 2020, which was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As well as raking in money from his professional dancing career and TV appearances, he also has support from brands such as boohooMan and Nespresso on social media.
Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 7pm on E4.
